In this case by Dr Sam Koh, the patient (a 62yo female) disliked her black tooth from a large old metal amalgam filling. The patient couldn’t afford a traditional laboratory crown, however the OVC was within her price range and enabled her to proceed with treatment.

To achieve the nice cosmetic shade on the buccal surface, the buccal was bevelled down to the gumline. Some uncured OVC material and a little bit of A4 and A3 flowable composite were added to blend around the gingiva area.
