Patient information:
Patient presented with pain and temperature sensitivity. A provisional diagnosis was deemed to be cracked tooth syndrome. The patient was given the option of having the tooth restored with an all porcelain Crown using a Cerec Unit or a One Visit Crown (Zirconia Hybrid OVC – Rhondium). The patient opted for the OVC on the basis of cost and quicker delivery time. The OVC could be delivered in 45 minutes, compared to the Cerec crown that had to be designed, milled and fired (2 hrs).
